Family workshop — since 1976

One guitar at a time, entirely handmade.

The workshop

Two pairs of hands, one standard.

Bruno Boutin taught himself lutherie, driven by a visceral passion for classical music. Influenced by the great French luthier Daniel Friederich, whom he had the chance to meet in Paris, he builds classical and flamenco guitars in his Magog workshop, renowned for their rich, powerful and even sound.

Today, his son Francis Boutin — trained in cabinetry and builder of his very first guitar at fourteen — carries on the tradition at his side. Each instrument is designed, carved and adjusted entirely by hand, with no shortcuts.
